US Recession Score (Flash) is a series sourced from public macro data distributed via FRED. The unit is Score, and this page is mainly for tracking level, trend and turning points.

It is useful for tracking the strength of demand and macro turning points. This indicator is usually easier to read through trend changes than through a single print.

It is often more informative when read together with labor, inflation, policy rates and equities.
