US Recession Regime (Flash) is a series sourced from public macro data distributed via FRED. The unit is Flag, and this page is mainly for tracking level, trend and turning points.

It is useful for tracking the strength of demand and macro turning points. Count series can be noisy month to month, so 3- to 12-month trends are usually more informative.

It is often more informative when read together with labor, inflation, policy rates and equities.
