Gini index Ranking

The Gini coefficient is an indicator measuring income and wealth inequality, with values closer to 0 indicating equality and closer to 1 indicating inequality. Countries ranked high (with high coefficients) have large wealth gaps and are mostly developing nations in Africa and Latin America. Conversely, lower-ranked countries (with low coefficients) are developed nations such as those in Northern Europe, with well-established social security systems and advanced income redistribution. Even with the same GDP level, the degree of inequality varies by country, and this index is an important measure of how the benefits of economic growth are distributed across society.
