Labour Income Share (% of GDP) (%)

The labor share represents the proportion of national gross domestic product (GDP) allocated to worker compensation (wages and salaries), reflecting the value of labor in the overall economy. Generally, countries with higher labor shares tend to have more robust worker incomes and relatively smaller income inequality. Nordic countries and Germany, with well-developed social security systems, show higher distribution rates, while developing countries and those centered on capital-intensive industries tend to have lower rates. Top-ranked countries in this ranking are predominantly developed nations with favorable labor environments and wage levels, while lower-ranked countries tend to have economic structures where capital and management profits carry greater weight. This indicator clearly reflects differences in each country's economic policies and industrial structures.
